The Kama Kula Journal
Issue No. 1 · Summer 2026
Pleasure is not a luxury.
It is a way home.

Welcome to the first issue of the Kama Kula Journal.
Kama Kula was created from a simple belief:
Your body is not a problem to solve.
It is a source of wisdom.
In a world that often teaches people to disconnect from themselves, we are building spaces where people can slow down, listen, reconnect, and learn.
Through workshops, community events, educational programming, scholarships, and collaborative research, Kama Kula exists to make embodied education more accessible and more human.
Whether you've attended an event, donated, shared a conversation, or simply found your way here — we're glad you're part of this growing community.
Pause. Notice your breath. Notice your jaw. Notice where your body is touching the chair.
What sensation is most alive right now?
Continue when you're ready. ✧Most people were never taught
to listen to their bodies.
Many adults never receive meaningful education about consent, boundaries, communication, body awareness, pleasure, or relational skills.
Most people are expected to figure these things out alone.
Kama Kula was founded to help make that possible.
A donation-based community gathering focused on exploring arousal, embodiment, and sensual energy through meditation and somatic practice.
This isn't about performance.
It's about learning how to access the vitality, creativity, and aliveness that sexual energy can offer — beyond sex itself.
Space is limited.
We are currently developing new educational experiences exploring:
Consent and embodied boundaries
Communication and relational skills
Nervous system awareness
Pleasure as a wellness practice
Somatic embodiment
Watch for announcements in upcoming months.
What if pleasure was
part of wellness?
We are actively building relationships with people doing aligned work — in whatever form that takes. If you are building something at the intersection of body, community, and healing, we want to know you.
We're especially interested in practitioners from historically underrepresented communities.
Let's create something meaningful together.

One of our goals is ensuring that our programming responds to actual community needs. We want to know what you've been carrying, what you've been wondering about, what you were never taught.
Tell us. We're listening.
Your body is not
a problem to solve.
Kama Kula is a Colorado nonprofit dedicated to making embodied education accessible through community programming, sliding-scale offerings, scholarships, and educational resources.
Every contribution helps us expand access.
