Who We Are

Kama Kula is a Colorado nonprofit providing accessible, trauma-informed education at the intersection of pleasure, embodiment, and human sexuality.

Through workshops, community programs, and educational resources, we help people become more aware of their bodies, recognize and communicate their wants and boundaries, navigate consent with greater confidence, reconnect with pleasure, and develop healthier relationships with themselves and others.

Body wisdom
is a birthright.

The name comes from Sanskrit — kāma, the force of desire and vitality; kula, a lineage of practice bound by shared values. Together: a community devoted to the body's knowing.

We believe pleasure is medicine. That sensual intelligence is a learnable skill. That the nervous system holds knowledge the mind cannot reach alone.

  • Pleasure belongs alongside wellness — not as luxury, but as birthright.
  • Participation is always invitational. Choice, autonomy, and the right to opt out are part of the practice.
  • Consent is the foundation of every space we hold.
  • Community is the container. Connection is the medicine.
  • Body wisdom belongs to every person — regardless of background or body.
Your body is not a problem to solve.
It is a source of wisdom.
